Description

ALL ORDERS ARE PRE-ORDERS and this item has a 4 weeks lead time. I am one guy and make several products and I need time to make them, one by one.

Introducing a modern version of the iconic Polaroid Big Shot camera!

Shoot portraits like Andy Warhol, but using moder Polaroid film and a modern flash!

Flash IS not included, but you can use ANY modern or vintage flash as long as is has guide number over 40. The camera also comes with a removable hot shoe adapter with a PC sync port and a cable to connect it to the included and already mounted The Big Flash sync adapter (also available as a separate product).

The back takes Polaroid Itype or type 600 film,

The eject motor is powered by AA batteries housed in a holder under the removable back cover (simply remove the silver screw, replace batteries, reattach cover). Make sure the batteries are correctly oriented and seated properly before you insert film in the back. A set of 6 AA batteries should last you many packs of film, I would say at least 30-40.

The back has an on/off switch and automated one push eject. Turn the back on, push the eject button for 1s, and voila, the print ejects on top. Turn off when not in use to prevent accidental ejects. Make sure to turn it off after use, the eject button is quite sensitive to touch and Polaroids are $2+ / pop these days.

There’s also a _manual_ film counter on the back, turn it to keep track of how many photos you have left in the pack,

Watch the corresponding How To on the Rescue Me section of the website! (it’s shot with an older version, but it works the same way).

I offer this either as a complete package, sans flash, or as a service for your own Big Shot, shipped to me at your expense. Your Big Shot needs to have a good working shutter and “magic cube” arm needs to “pop”.

I can also add a free name tag on the back, upon request,

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

The only “catch” when using modern Polaroid film in this back is that the photos will be left-right mirror reversed. This is not a defect of the back, but simply the result of using film designed for cameras with a built in mirror (Polaroid box cameras have a mirror), which will reverse the image left right. Since the Big Shot is a straight through camera, the images will be mirrored, but you will only really notice if you have text in the image! Also, all photos will look just like people see themselves in the mirror, also in selfies (yes, they are mirrored!).

Also, the Big Shot was designed to work with 3″x4″ packfilm, so the viewfinder frame marks are rectangular. Polaroids are 3″x3″ so frame using only the middle 75% of the vertical frame lines, centered.
