Introducing the next generation Polaroid Back for the Mamiya RB67 series of cameras.

This takes any modern Polaroid integral film (SX70, Type 600 or Itype). The back only processes the film (pushes it through two rollers to squish the chemical packs and spread them inside the print).

Since RB67 is a fully manual camera and there’s no built in metering, in order to expose properly, you simply use an external meter to the film ISO (itype/600 has ISO640, SX70 film has ISO 160), then expose at will, one or multiple shots, then press the eject button on the side of the back to process the film. Don’t forget to turn the back on before you do so (switch on the back).

Press here for a full demo on how this works!

The back has a dark slide,  single push eject, an on/off button on the back, and works with 4 replaceable AAA batteries housed in a battery holder under the removable cover on the back.

The back mounts in place of the revolving adapter, with the eject slot facing up.

The dark slide is on the side of the camera, thus allows one to place the camera down without interference from the dark slide.

And two important notes.

As is the case with ALL Integral Polaroid backs, the image will be mirror reversed. The mirrored image is from the design of the integral Polaroid film (film is exposed from the front), meant to be used in a camera with a built in mirror (light path is folded 90 degrees in all Polaroid cameras)

In addition, the image will have a ~1.5mm border on all sides for the RB67 Pro or a thinner border + some corner shadings for the Pro-S and Pro-SD.  is NOT a defect of the kit/back. The border/corners shading are from the Mamiya RB67 film mask  (72x72mm vs the 75x75mm Polaroid image size, and Pro-S / Pro-SD have some corner shading).

That’s it!
